Today, companies are required to maintain a high level of quality across every aspect of their organization. The contact center is one area where a business may struggle in achieving high marks for performance and operational efficiency due to the fact that it is a complex environment in which attention is unique to its daily function. As a result, it is a wise choice is to outsource these services to an expert provider.

Over the past decade, the word “outsource” has had a negative connotation in the business world, but recently outsourcing has boomed and more and more companies are choosing to relocate their contact center services. Outsourcing doesn’t only translate to shipping work overseas as domestic outsourcing of a company’s contact center services can achieve the same positive aspects as outsourcing overseas. These benefits include cost savings, increased hours of operation, expert operational functionality, the ability to keeps jobs in the U.S. and provide customers with a comfortable and familiar experience.

Sitel, a global outsourced customer care services provider, is adding a new business to its call center in Albuquerque, N.M. The new business must hire about 150 employees to support a new retail client known for its global philanthropic efforts. Once hired, the Albuquerque employees will provide customer support via inbound calls, e-mail and Internet chat.

With 26 years of industry experience and solutions that span more than 120 domestic, nearshore, and offshore centers in 25 countries, Sitel has twice been ranked as the top call center outsourcing provider in Datamonitor's annual Black Book of Outsourcing survey. Sitel's 57,000 employees provide clients with measurable return on customer investment by building customer loyalty, increasing sales and improving efficiency.

"Sitel is growing, and with the addition of another exciting new account we are hiring 150 qualified customer service professionals during the month of October. The majority of the positions are regular full-time roles. New individuals will be brought on board to support day-to-day and seasonal business needs," said Jerry Kinnick, Sitel senior vice president of Operations.

In its effort to recruit employees, Sitel is working closely with the New Mexico Department of Workforce Solutions and will be hosting an onsite job fair from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Thursday, September 20.

Kinnick added, "Not only is this great news for Sitel's site in Albuquerque, but it will also have a positive impact to the economy in the greater Albuquerque area."
